Some poor soul just rented my fellow gearhead friend and I his 2016 Focus RS for Saturday.
I’ll do a writeup. What does Oppo want to hear about?

Like, someone just rented out their RS? Through what service? Who in their right mind...

Turo. All in with the good insurance(1 million in liability and collision) $180 for 200 miles. Not cheap but not unreasonable considering no chaperones will be involved.
And not just RS’es. 911, Boxsters, Camaros........

Test how well the drift mode works.

Consider it done.

‘cross it then track it. Then take it on a fire road and bang your respective significant others in it. Hot box it on the way home then give it back. Anyone who rents an RS to folks they don’t live with must be educated.

Let us know how it works on the street. I’ve been wanting one, but some in-depth teardowns show a pathetically small rear driveshaft (like necked down to finger width) and RDU, along with really unsophisticated rear suspension. I know it’s just a Focus, but from a hardware standpoint, it doesn’t look so good.
